Assignment
Continued from Class 6:
- Get a used, dead consumer embedded system, such as cell phone,
MP3 player, digital camera, cordless phone. If none is available to
you, please contact me.
- Disassemble the gadget. Try not to break/destroy at first. you
may get more invasive as you progress.
- Take pictures. Take many pictures. Take pictures in stages, as
you get more invasive and destructive.
- Find information on the web to identify components and figure
out how it works.
Do a Blog:
- Create an account (or blog) at
http://blog.asu.edu
- Write a blog, to show what you
did, in words and pictures.
- Make the blog informational and worth reading/looking at.
- Make sure picture files are small (resize to less than 800x600,
and jpeg quality set to 60%. Any image editor (e.g.
irfanview (free)) will let
you do that.
