Class Overview
Assignment
Preliminary description: (may change):
- Get a used, dead consumer embedded system, such as cell phone,
MP3 player, digital camera, cordless phone. If none is available to
you, please contact me.
- Disassemble the gadget. Try not to break/destroy at first. you
may get more invasive as you progress.
- Take pictures. Take many pictures. Take pictures in stages, as
you get more invasive and destructive.
- Find information on the web to identify components and figure
out how it works.
- Write a blog, following the blogging lecture to show what you
did, in words and pictures.
Note: The blog is to be set up on the
ASU Blog site, using your ASURite account. All the blogs are public
and I will make the blogs for this assignment known to others in the
class, hence your colleagues will be able to look at your work.
